Devon & Plymouth Chamber of Commerce Awards 2024

I was honoured to have been named as the ‘Game Changer of 2024’ at the Devon & Plymouth Chamber awards. This award is a testament to the journey I’ve been on over the last six years, building a business dedicated to client-led listening and delivering valuable, actionable insights. From my base in West Devon, I’ve had the privilege of working with some incredible clients across the globe!

I co-hosted a webinar with Claire Rason from Client Talk, addressing key client listening questions such as getting partner buy-in, handling negative feedback, and maximising insights. We discussed the importance of embracing feedback to drive growth and how this process helps eliminate guesswork from marketing strategies, providing clarity on what works and where to focus.

Devon & Plymouth Chamber Member Listening Project: Profile Magazine

I was delighted to be featured in the Spring edition of the Devon & Plymouth Chamber ‘Profile’ Magazine. In my article on page 21, I discussed my recent work with the Chamber on their member listening exercise, where we’re exploring strengths, areas for improvement, and valuable member benefits. I’ve also launched a series of focus groups, running throughout the year, to give members a chance to share their insights in person.

Waving or Drowning: PM Forum Magazine Feature

It was a pleasure to be featured in the PM Forum magazine, where I shared my thoughts with James Lumley on how professional services firms can leverage insights from client listening interviews to enhance their marketing efforts.
A conversational approach often provides richer insights than surveys or AI, but gathering is just the start — reflection and action are key!

I was thrilled to join Caitlin Roxburgh from The BD Consultancy on the BD Talks podcast, where we discussed how client listening can inform past and future strategies. We also explored how professional services firms can integrate client listening into their BD and marketing efforts, and why it’s not just for large firms. Even if you’re not in professional services, the insights are still relevant!
